Since Relics is a compilation and not a regular studio album, it tends to be overlooked when thought of as one of Pink Floyd's better releases. It might not be regarded as a classic psychedelic masterpiece in the manner of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, and it certainly won't ever achieve the multiple platinum status of Dark Side of the Moon, but it's a pretty good place to start with the band's early catalog.

Mar 27,  · Floyd just announced new vinyl remaster will be released on May 18th. The album features artwork hand-drawn by Nick Mason, and like the original release on Starline, with the exception of mono tracks Arnold Layne and See Emily Play, features all the original stereo versions/5().

" The Nile Song " is the second song from Pink Floyd 's album, More, the soundtrack to the film of the same name. Released as a single in (only in France, Japan and New Zealand), it was written by Roger Waters and sung by David Gilmour. It is similar to another song on the album, " Ibiza Bar ".

General CommentSuperb song! And the fact that this type of song was performed in is brilliant. They were way ahead of their time on this one. It also shows that Pink Floyd could have taken on different types of music and still be successful with it.
