HarveysFestival 11th Mar My copy also has the mysterious "Shaper" credit. Just to confuse the issue further, on the reissue double album from which Cavatina was take (Changes/The Height Below), the cover (a reprint of the original album on the Fly label) states Stanley Myers as composer, but the label (a Cube label) states S. Myers/H. Shaper as composer.

The full score as it appears in the film. This is the first time this original version has ever been released on vinyl as the original soundtrack LP. Subsequent reissues were all actually re-recorded cues made especially for that LP. The album is produced by Mike Matessino who painstakingly restored, edited and remastered every cue for this.

Changes (aka Cavatina) is an album by John Williams issued on Fly Records in In Cube Records reissued the album under the title Cavatina". Like the CD with the same title (different artwork), this is simply the album "Changes" with the first and third tracks swapping places so that the title tracks are track 1.

As the Italian diminutive of cavata, cavatina is a musical term frequently applied to any simple, melodious air. The piece had been recorded by classical guitarist John Williams, long before the film that made it famous. It had originally been written for piano, but at Williams' invitation .
